Southern California Edison - Illogical shifts in charges without reason or proof
My electricity bill went from five months of under 40 dollars a month to a sudden 205 dollars in December. I called to question and complain and was told "It is cold in Crestline in the winter" ???
Do I pay for the weather or only the electricity I use in my cabin? The next month, November, my bill was a bit lower 165 dollars although my usage was the same as always. Since I use the three room cabin only on weekends, I called again and was told that someone is using (living?) in my cabin during the week while I am working and staying, as I have been since buying the place earlier this year, in Los Angeles as a University instuctor. Hello?
I have no family, and nobody is able to live in my place during the week, plus we have a strong Neighborhood Watch system. When I informed the argumentative clerk on the phone that I am an old woman who still understands logic, I was told "Figure it our yourself!" Interesting monopoly/rip-off company, yes?
Reason of review: Poor customer service.
Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.
Southern California Edison Cons: No help from employees, Customer service.
Location: Crestline, California
